Souper Bowl Sunday

It’s that time once again for us to help those in need in our community by bringing cans of soup to church to be placed on the altar rails for “Souper Bowl” Sunday, February 5th. The soup we collect is donated to Our Daily Bread to help feed those who are hungry in our area.

REMEMBER: The Sunday school class which contributes the greatest number of cans of soup wins the “Souper Bowl” Trophy!

Youth Classified Ads

There is a Classified Ads section on the Youth Bulletin Board just for you adults that need some extra help.
Do you need yard work done?
A pet sitter for your trip?
Help doing spring cleaning?
Chairs set up for an event????

The Ohana Youth Group has created this board to serve many purposes. It is a perpetual fundraiser, so we aren’t selling something. It’s also a chance to help and give back to the church who invests so much in them weekly. And finally, this gives them work experience and work references when they apply for their first job.

What do you do????

  1. Go by the Youth Bulletin board, take a form and fill it out (a pencil is provided on the board). Your job can be small or large, one day or on a regular basis, for one youth member or many.
  2. Take a push pin from the bottom of the board and put your ad on the board.
  3. A youth member will take your ad and contact you about dates and times.
  4. The youth member will bring you the form when they come to work. When you are satisfied with their job, simply include the form and your check in an envelope and place in the offering plate. Make sure you put the account number on the form on your check. The money will go into the correct account, and the form will come to me. Then I will put the credit toward that youth’s individual account.

Thank you for helping us teach our student’s the value of money, budgeting, work and responsibility. – Krissy Tallent
