A Letter to the Congregation
Hello Church Family,
As you may already be aware, we have closed our church facility until further notice upon the direction of the Holston Conference. We wanted to let you know that starting this Sunday, March 29, we will be streaming our Worship Service via Livestream. The service will be similar to our normal service except our congregation will be joining us in worship from the safety of your homes. The Livestream services can be accessed through our website, springcityumc.com, by clicking the “Livestream” icon. We will also be posting the link to our Facebook page each Sunday morning. Each service will also be available to view for 30 days in the event you are unable to join us on Sunday Morning.
As we walk through these perilous, very strange times of isolation, we are most certainly going to need to be connected to the Word and Worship to be reminded of God’s promises to us. While we are physically separated, our needs for tithing and blessings are no less and, in fact, may be more than our normal need as we strive to help our community. So, here we are with a need to be innovative on how we worship, how we serve, and how we give.
There are a few ways to give:
1. Write a check to Spring City United Methodist Church and mail it to:
Spring City United Methodist Church
P.O. Box 158
Spring City, TN 37381
2. Online Giving – The Church can accept offering and tithes online via our Church’s website:
Follow link to springcityumc.com and at the top of the page, click the red box labeled “Give”. A dialog box will open and from there you can fill in all the necessary information for a one-time gift. You may also login to your Tithe.ly account or create a new account if you wish to set up automated giving. This is a secure and trusted site, and our Church has been using it for several years.
We wanted to let our Congregation know that even during these times of uncertainty the Church is still here. Please contact the Church office at 365-6324 if any needs arise.
Sincerely,
Spring City United Methodist Church
